A bit about us

Causeway Capital is a growth focused private equity firm and was founded by a group of entrepreneurs and investors to provide straight forward funding and support to growing businesses.

Causeway Capital was launched in early 2015 to invest in growing European SME businesses, raising our first private equity fund with commitments from pension funds, financial institutions and private individuals.

To date we have invested in seven portfolio companies and made two bolt on acquisitions which in total generate over €150m in revenue and collectively employ c.1,800 people.

Our first realised investment was the £100m IPO of In The Style.

David Raethorne

David was the founder of Helix Health which he established in 1987 and successfully exited in 2014. He currently sits on the board of Bakers + Baristas, Bizimply, and Celtic Linen.

Matt Scaife

Matt was previously CFO of Helix Health and before that spent 8 years as a corporate finance adviser with Hawkpoint Partners in London. He sits on the boards of Bakers + Baristas, Celtic Linen, In The Style, Patisserie Valerie and Group GTI.

Pierce Casey

Pierce joined Causeway Capital Partners in 2017 having previously worked in corporate finance and investment banking in London, latterly as Vice President in Lincoln International. Pierce trained with KPMG in Dublin and is a Chartered Accountant. He sits on the boards of In The Style, Turmec and Group GTI.

Connor Reid

Connor joined Causeway Capital Partners in 2016. He was previously in the Corporate Finance team of BDO Ireland where he qualified as an Accountant. He sits on the boards of Turmec and Patisserie Valerie.

Ryan McAlinden

Ryan joined Causeway Capital Partners in 2017 having completed a three year graduate programme in EY Transaction Advisory Services where he qualified as an Accountant.

Debbie Gannon

Debbie joined Causeway Capital in 2016 as Financial Controller after a career spanning over 30 years in a variety of roles and sectors. Debbie is a Chartered Accountant.

Non-executive members

Gerard Flood

Gerard is a non-executive member of the Causeway Capital investment committee. He was previously Chairman of KPMG Corporate Finance Ireland and sits on a number of SME company boards.
